Kids jumped into bayou fun at Crocodile Dock during Good Shepherd’s Vacation Bible School program. Each day started with Sing and Play Swamp Stomp where kids sang songs and were introduced to the daily Bible Point. Each crew then participated in four areas that explored the Bible Point of the day. Bible stories were brought to life through interactive drama at Bible Bayou, kids played teamwork building games at Gator Games, dug into yummy treats at Snack Shack, and made fund crafts at Crawfish Crafts and Missions. KIids also learned to look for evidence of God all around them through God Sightings. Each day concluded at Firefly Finale—a celebration that got everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
Kids attending VBS also reached out to other kids that were victims of a disaster in their lives. Each day they heard a different story about a child who attended Camp Noah to help them recover from the experience of their town being flooded. The VBS children then put their hopes and dreams for children that lived through disasters on paper and placed them into the Camp Noah Ark. These hopes and dreams were then placed into cards the kids decorated. The cards will be distributed to kids attending Camp Noah this year to let them know that there are other kids who care and are praying for them.
